Meet Anna

Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Anna, an MD-trained health educator with a background in pharmaceutical medical affairs and clinical research. I’ve read the studies. I’ve seen how health claims get tested, marketed, and approved. I’ve also seen how much of what reaches the wellness internet ranges from mildly oversimplified to flat-out wrong.

That gap is why this site exists.

Somewhere between conventional healthcare and the wellness aisle, there’s a layer of health advice that almost nobody is covering well: how the food you eat, the routines you keep, and the products you put on your skin actually affect the way your body feels, functions, and ages. The research on this is real. The problem is that the loudest voices explaining it to you often have no medical training, or they’re trying to sell you a $90 bottle of something.

I wanted a place where people who care about their health could get that information in plain English, with the science intact and the fear mongering removed.

What you’ll find here:

  • Gut health and anti-inflammatory nutrition, because inflammation is connected to so many long-term wellness patterns, and the food piece is often more actionable than the supplement piece.
  • Science-backed skincare and haircare, because your skin and hair are often the first places stress, inflammation, and daily habits show up, and the beauty industry needs more science and fewer empty promises.
  • Routines and habits that are actually sustainable, for real schedules and real energy levels, not a Pinterest-perfect morning that requires being awake at 5am.

What you won’t find:

  • Extremes, quick fixes, or “this one food will cure everything” nonsense
  • Supplement stacks I’m being paid to recommend
  • Diet culture dressed up as wellness
  • Advice I wouldn’t give a friend

I built The Balanced Ritual for women who want to feel better but are tired of being talked down to, sold to, or scared into buying things they don’t need. If that’s you, I’m glad you found me.
